Salient Features:

TEACHING PRACTISE:

The students are given practice in teaching for a period of 30 days in the High/ higher secondary schools run by the Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocese.

SPORTS AND GAMES:

All the students are encouraged to participate in all the sports and games, frequent competitions are being conducted by the college and also by the University.

HOSTEL FACILITIES:

The College Hostel is run in a rental Building temporarily. In Future it will be shifted to a new building. Both Vegetarian and Non – Vegetarian meals are served and it is purely a dividing system.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

In addition to theoretical lecturers, students are provided opportunities to bring about their all round development.

GUIDES TRAINING:

A basic Guides Captain Training programme is provided for a period of seven days in order to develop in the trainees, the basic qualities of an Indian Citizen.

CLUB ACTIVITIES:

Subjects Clubs are organized and various competitions are held to develop team spirit and co-operation among the trainees.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

Community Service Programmes are also organized to help the trainees to develop the social values. The students also visit St. Luke's leprosarium, Peikulam as a part of community service.

SEMINAR & WORKSHOP:

Apart from the regular academic programmes, seminars and workshops are also organized inviting experts from different fields.

FIRST AID PROGRAMME:

In order to train the prospective teachers to handle the emergency situations they are given training in the first aid activities and certificates are issued by St. John's Ambulance, Tuticorin.

FIELD TRIPS & TOURS:

To break the monotory of the class room activities, field trips and study Tours are arranged, which the students relish and enjoy.
